Question for Milimewah Department Store Sdn Bhd

How long is the working hours for a worker? I read that Brunei's employment law mention that the average number of hours worked over any continuous period of 3 weeks shall not exceed 44 hours per week. So I am wondering why is a family member's of mine is working way over than 44 hours per week? 12 hours working in a day for 3 days a week is already 36 hours. And then another 9 hours in a day for the next 3 days. Won't that make them working for 63+- hours per week? They also only have 1 off day. Is it even legal to work these people like this?
